First HH since ive started hanging.

Ive never even got to see one at a hang. Showed up today and im pumped. I traded a gentleman on another site for it for a GB wildlife hatchet and 30 bucks.

Its the HH backpacker UL zip. Anyone have pointers swapping out the suspension for dutch's?

You are going to love that thing. I know that I love mine. There are loads of YouTube videos on various suspension mods for the Hennessy. Plus, they have a sale going on right now for some of the accessories for these.

I made the gambit, kentucky prepper, jimmy mcaussie, dans depot.. but i havent seen a breakdown of the best way to attach a cinch buckle suspension. It looks so nicely put together im hesitant to tear into it, on the flip side.. im going to be using my dutch suspension.. thats the facts

I picked up my cinch buckles from Ripstop By the Roll. I used the factory line and cut the excess and opened up the end covers. Retied them to produce a loop that extended about 8 inches out. I then double wrapped the buckle with a larks head to this loop and then picked up some tied downs from Harbor Freight. Cut the ends off and kept the loop. These are now my tree huggers and suspension adjustment. The original rope is light enough to use but strong enough to do the job. Works for me very well.

Once you remove the covers and remove the rope suspension, it's just a matter of attaching the continuos loop then your choice of suspension.

You can try this link for overview.

Good luck and don't look back!

This is from Dutch's web site. He talks about the different ways HH attaches their suspension and how to replace it with continuous loops that you could then attach to webbing or many other suspensions.
