    Greetings from the Frozen Tundra

I have always had a love for the outdoors, but never had the chance to really get out and explore until my senior year of high school. This is when my now fiancé invited me on a week long canoe trip to the BWCA with her brother, his fiancé and their two friends. This was the start of my obsession and passion to explore and see all the beauty God has placed right in the Midwest.

College brought me less money and time for trips, but more passionate people and crazy ideas exploring farther west and south. College is also when I got my first hammock. I brought it along on every trip I went on. But it was not until recently when my friend Paddington and I were planning a trip to the Porcupine Mountains in the UP that we came to the realization, "why should we bring our tent and our hammocks?" Since that trip I have been slowly but surely moving towards hanging between two trees at night instead of laying on the ground.

And here I am now, in my last weeks of college focusing more on planning that next trip than studying for my finals.

When I'm not planning a trip I'm reading or watching gear reviews and other related outdoor videos.

Photography has also been a growing interest for me. I love bringing the camera outside and capturing natures beauty.

I look forward to chatting with everyone on here and continue to learn more about hammock camping!
