Dream Hammock Darien Robic 1.0 11'X64" with ridge line organizer, Whoopies, toggles and stuff sack. I haven't bought the tree straps from Dutch yet so you can add another 37g for a total of 405g

Nice! I decided I wanted to try SLD's Trail Lair, also in 1.0 Robic, at 11' by 60". With continuous loops, adjustable ridge line, and stuff sack, it's 364 grams. Just got it yesterday, one week after I ordered it! Put the loops and ridge line on it last night, and today it's raining.

Isn't it amazing how fast Jared can turn around an order? A week.....not weeks or months. A few months ago he made a 10 foot Trail Lair in Hexon 1.0 that is super comfy and crazy light. Dark olive is my favorite color.

I have a Darien UL that comes in at 13 ounces including stuff sack and suspension. I use whoopie slings, 4 ft tree straps and soft shackles. The stopped making the Darien UL some time ago but you can now order the Darien with a 1.0 fabric that will likely bring it in at a weight close to the UL. I would guess that you could also contact Dream hammocks and see if they'd build a custom hammock for you to get one as light as possible.

By the way, the soft shackles let you use the short 4' tree strap regardless of tree size; a trick I learned from Disco.

I have slept in it only once. The pad did not shift, but I did get cold a little. The hammock is designed for a pad with width 65 cm (25.6 inches) and a length of 197 cm (77.6 inches) and I used a pad which was 183 cm (72 inches) long and 52 cm (20.5 inches) wide, so that may have caused some coldness. It was not the shifting though, but more that free air came under the mat I think.

You are right that the mat cannot slide anywhere, so i might have opted for a Delta UL instead of the Gamma UL I have now. It is very, very comfortable, no calf ridge, rally flat and nice.

I have a 1.7 ripstop Dream Hammock Darien that weighs 14oz with continuous loops on the ends. 11'

Could you point me to a picture of that Gideon? Thanks!

A +1 for the Trail Lair from Jared. He is extremely fast and delivers high quality. Trust my word, I am a stickler for details.
