Compressing the synthetic insulation for long periods of time is not good for the overall life of the quilt, so I wouldn't.
Thats what i thought
I was asking because snugpack says theirs can stay compressed indefinitely without issue

Paul is, of course, correct in asserting any insulation that requires loft to be effective, not be compressed for long periods of time.
The reason is that it is the air among the fibers that actually provides the insulative effect, not the fibers themselves. The space between fibers allow for air to to absorb and retain body heat. It can be somewhat counter intuitive, but it is what it is.
Leaving your kit compressed for long periods of time forces the fibers to group together more tightly over time, which leaves less air pockets in the fiber, which drops the effective insulation.
Thanks guys i picked up a jarbridge from a member and was curios if it was different from down
Will be using it this weekend
