Hi there I am looking to meet up with fellow eastern Ontario hangers who would be interested in organizing a group hang sometime this summer, if you are out there and interested let me know where you are located, and when would be good for you and let's see what we can get happening. I am located near the sand road/ Achray access point of algonquin park and would be able to hang out pretty much any weekend.

Hi Packrat69. You're in luck. There's a great group of hangers in Ontario and thereabouts that go by the name of the EGL (Eastern Great Lakes). We do at least a couple of canoe trips each year, a car camp or two as well as winter camping. We do a fair bit of paddling in Algonquin as well, so that sounds perfect!

There's some great folks that come out and new people are always welcome. Check out some of our trip reports as well to get some of the flavour of our hangs. The only requirement is that you have to like to eat good food, although even that's not a deal breaker.

I'm from just east of Arnprior.
Would doing a fall (just after labour day) canoe trip, hike or just hang sound like a good idea? I know most parks just have a few mature folks out, the bugs aren't bad, and the cool nights make a fire so much nicer. It's also easier to pack fresh perishables as well.
Hi! I'm in Petawawa for a bit. I'm interested in meeting up with some fellow hangers. For me, August is booked and I have more flexibility after labour day. I was looking to do a trip on the Eastern Pines trail in Algonquin in September. I'm interested to see how a group hang comes together!

Available just about any weekend from Friday lunch time on. Prefer canoe trips over serious backpacking.
