don't know that much about Cuban fiber but if you want it waterproof then sew it and get Cuban fiber tape off of ripstopbytheroll.com but be careful because Cuban fiber is very easily ripped or torn.

Not true....Cuban is very hard to tear,it punctures fairly easily but it wont tear.It is also prone to abrasion damage. You can repair a puncture quickly with Cuban repair tape(something you cant do with sil nylon or sil poly) If you want to make stuff sacks,it is easy to use the special tape made for Cuban to tape seams without sewing, and therefore keep them water tight.

I like sewing for sacks that I'll carry inside my pack where splash protection is all I need. A true waterproof stuff sack can burst like a balloon from the pressure of stuffing it into the pack if you're not careful. I make cuben dry bags with roll tops for other uses by sewing and then putting tape over the seams.

Isn't this true of any waterproof stuff sack, not just cuben fiber?

I have never made stuff sacks in CF but i have used CF for reinforcement on tarps (sewn). Its not a problem to sew in CF. In fact its easy because its much stiffer so its easy to handle.
