    Tying continuous loop to tree strap .... knot ?

    I want to make a no sew tree strap using a amsteel 10 inch continuous loop tied on for loop. What knot ?????

    Is the amsteel loop on the hammock and you want to connect the tree strap to the amsteel loop? If that's the case, a slippery sheet bend works where the strap is the working end. It requires a little dressing but I've used it before.

    My "no sew" option was to buy a ratcheting strap set at home depot ($12), remove the metal hook with some bolt cutters, and use a sheet bend (beckett hitch) to tie it to the amsteel CL. Super easy and I still use it on my indoor hammock.

    A loop at the end of the webbing could be done with a figure 8. If you need a CL at the end, it could be captive on the figure 8 or larksheaded to it. Not sure what sort of configuration you're trying to achieve(?)
