Ready to buy a Dream Hammock- need some advice

Yup, a net-only DangerBird with 3 sliders on each zipper allows you to have the two extra sliders meet anywhere along the side. You'd only unzip the slider up at the head end if you want to retract the net.

It's the Sparrow that has the little tab between the two zippers and the zippers, by design, always meet in the middle. Don't know if you could specify a meeting point somewhere else(?)

I have a Dangerbird (and love it) but I would opt for the Sparrow,the zipper configuration involves less sliders,and you can remove the net or cover if not needed.I added zipper pulls on my D.B. because it is MUCH easier to adjust an underquilt with zippers that can be placed mid-hammock.Either way,you can't beat the quality and service from the Smurf's....they treat you like family.
