Home safe and sound. We left out really early Saturday morning so we were not able to say personal goodbyes to everyone [as some were not out of hibernation yet ]. We enjoyed the trip and I can't imagine all the time, effort and planning that Hotlips and Kingsford must have had to put forth in order to make it all happen. We really enjoyed seeing lots of old friends and making new ones. We hope everyone makes it home safe and hope to see you all again soon.

Tony and Tonya, y'all sure know how to put on a mighty fine shindig in the woods. I don't know anyone else who can make a campground bathroom into a spa resort! Of course, the food was delicious...Tony did an amazing job on the pork loins...and Tonya's dishes are always spectacular. I hope everyone has a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to more pics and trip reports!

Hotlips and Kingsford and jdk the BBQ was so good--it's hard to think how good it is--cooked outdoors, tender full of flavor and not burnt. That's some fine cooking. And thank you Kingsford--since I've become a keyboard cowboy--thank you for heating my coffee water every morning.
I relearned from OldFourHats how to splice both ends of a line--you can eye splice one end with a locked brummel and bury--then splice the other end with a locked brummel, and just pull the first end through--without having to do a brummel with inversions.
And jdk has an interesting suspension using straps hitched directly to hammock without hardware or continuous loops. He used a girth hitch on one end and a slipped girth hitch on the other end. I think you could use a marlin spike hitch instead. I'm still learning and relearning from Maytag and Tacoma. And it's great to see everyone and listen to stories of real hiking treks from DimJim and Hipbone. And it was fun to watch GrannyPat make a campfire that did not smoke--even using pine twigs.
