    Tarp Anchor Lines

I know this has been covered but I can't find anything. What are you guys doing with your tarp anchor lines to keep them from getting tangled up? I have these little Velcro wraps but they are kind of time consuming. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you ever considered just leaving them attached to the stake and wrapping them around the stake. Easy and keeps you from ever forgetting a stake. This is my preferred method.
A lot of this is personal preference and would depend on your particular setup and how you have things attached.
I also have a tarp with sewn in pockets that I'll occasionally use. With this tarp I tend to detach the stakes and figure 8 the cords and stuff them in the pockets.

I leave mine attached to the tarp - just kind of toss them up on the fabric, grab two corners of the tarp and roll towards the ridgeline. Then slide the tarp skin over the tarp. When the tarp is unfurled again the lines just fall free - seldom any tangle at all. This is with Zing-it - other lines might be more prone to tangle.

This. Tried leaving them on the stakes but they ended up getting too much dirt ground into them which I thought would wear them prematurely. On my Hennessy Hex tarp there are pockets on the corners for the built-in tie-outs. I use them when I have that tarp.

I copied his simple yet brilliant idea:

And the lines don't tangle, believe it or not. I'm sure they could but it hasn't been a problem.

Another vote for the figure 8 wrap. I now use it on my extension cords or anything else I previously coiled. Works really well.

I wish my tarp had the pockets sewn in the corners. Don't want to wrap stakes up with it dirt/mud/puncture
