Sounds like you had a good hike despite the GI troubles. Those have to have been a real downer. Appreciate you sharing your report. Your pics good. Views from McAfee stunning.

Back from Big Bend, where in most places it's virtually impossible to "elevate".
Thanks. See you in Fairfield SP this weekend?
There was one person at McAfee Knob when I got there. He had lived close by for something like 35 years and it was his first time to ever climb up. It's definitely worth a return visit.
Thanks. The stomach behaved much better on the Big Bend trip. I like it in Texas but I also envy you Virginians.

Great report. Sorry about not feeling well. I've hiked many, many miles of the AT in VA and have yet to hike up to McAfee knob either, but plan on it next year. Looking forward to it!
Great photos. Thank you for sharing.
Newbie, here, and it helps me charge my batteries reading, while I wait for mama's ankle to heal, so we can hike again.
You're off to great places. Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting, so... get on your way!
Sounds like a beautiful hike and way to perservere!
