Same as PGibson and Sgt Rock. But have noticed that the Prussik made of Zing-It has to be worked and loosened, in order to get the guy line to pull in either direction. Can be a problem in the cold, but still the way to adjust in the rain! I still think I may replace the prussik with flyz on the D-Ring when I get the CF Tarp.

I use 200lb hollow braided fishing line to make the prussik, I haven't noticed to be hard in the cold.

Paul and SGT, So do you do the prusik wraps around the guy line with an untied loop and then tie the loop around the D ring? I was trying to figure this out and this is the only way that popped into my head. If you made the prusik wraps with a pre-tied loop then you would need a carabiner or another piece of cord to tie the prusik to the d ring, right?

My tarp has a cord pull out. To this I attach a loop of 200lb fishing line. With that line I make the prussik around my tarp's line. Here is a picture:

On the end of that line I have the Dutch Hook which I use to hook the line onto itself around the tree. Here is another picture, just imagine the tree inside the loop.

For my set up. With the Prussic loop on the guy line you just need to loop the prussic tail on to the D ring. You can do this by making a girth hitch onto the Ring with the loop...just pass all of the guy line through the loop in forming the girth hitch and straiten it out once passed through.

Gotcha, thanks Paul. That was simple.

I use 1.8mm spyderline. No stakes. I tie the spyderline to other trees, rocks, roots etc using a slippery tautline hitch. The line was designed for sailing rigging so it ties, and unties easily in the cold and wet. I have a small bowline ties at one end which I then pass the running end through the tarp loop and the bowline loop. This makes it easy to switch them up if needed. I rarely do now that I am so dialed in with my setup.

Triptease looped through the D ring on the tarp then tautline hitch for tension. I leave these attached to my Hennesy Hex and tucked into the guy pockets. Clove hitch to my Groundhogs as I pitch it.

    Nothing fancy here.
I've added a foot of shock cord to the 4 lines the tarp came with
and I use the cheap aluminium tent sticks from box stores.

I use ;Kelty TripTease LightLine - Reflective Cord31c4ajyGKgL.jpg and MSR - GroundHog Stakes 71nwqR-Eh4L._SX522_.jpg and for side pull outs extra guy line from Warbonnet. I just tied the line with a bowline knot, and loop around the stake and pull the line up so it locks over the wrap on the stake.
