Built a pair of turtle dog stands and couldn't resist a night with my son watching our favorite college football team and sleeping in our hammocks. It's his first night hanging, so I wanted to make it as awesome as possible. If I could get buy-in from the Mrs. I'd never take these stands down!

How long are the legs on your stand? Looks like 6' each but hard to tell from the photo.

You're correct. Six feet on each leg. 10 ft fence top rail for the bar. I used 4" gate hinges for the connection point on the tripods.Originally Posted by brianb

Obviously not needed here, but can you fit a tarp on this setup? Looks like it would be a tight fit. Just wondering in case I do this outside instead of sinking posts.
Nice stands sir, and that game didn't turn out too poorly either for your favorite team either, as I recall. Looking to do something like this with my kids too.
