Best new thing I've seen in quite a while, Phantom. So well thought out, and simple, simple. Yet everything also easily comes apart if wanted. My hat's off to you for coming up with this. And great for not leaving anything behind. Many pluses. As you kniw, I am a huge fan of knots that I can tie and untie and which work safely with a particular cord and application, and I'm a great fan of your Grapplers Hitch, aside from its use here. Anywhere anytime with just a piece of Amsteel and no tools, I can make a removable loop-soft shackle-biner replacement for hammocks and tarps.
I asked about using the marlinspike (I use a dowel section or a good on-site hardwood piece) because I've already invested in several different widths of nylon and polyester webbing, and I don't want to spend right now on even more webbing. I'll play around with your ingenious C-Red setup with low hang and airbed underneath, using different webbings, once snow here is gone. Combine your C-Red with a Lazy Slug tube-skin if you have quilts, and how could an easy and quick setup be any simpler.
