@ alifeoutdoors, Very cool that you get out in that area every year. I hope to see it with the leaves down and snow everywhere this winter. The water was only bad by that part of Mary Creek, everywhere else was fine. Thanks for looking and commenting!
@ RorySeiter, my 60lb Deutsch Drahthaar sleeps in the hammock with me. I can always tell if I brought warm enough bedding: she sleeps by my feet when warm and moves up until she is curled up on my chest if cold. The coldest night that trip she had her head on my shoulder and was tucked tight along my right side - almost not enough warm stuff!! The warmest night she had her head on my shins in her usual spot behind my knees - just right.
I used to put a pad or blanket on the ground but my dog rarely used it. Fronkey and several other HFers (HammockForumers) have some great tips on dogs G2G. (Going to Ground)
