UGQ Tarp Dongles

Well we are always moving forward even as we try to catch up. We are pleased to introduce a new product for our tarps as well as pretty much any tarp on the market. The UGQ Tarp Dongle unlocking many additional setup options for your tarp. Providing a min of four functions for your tarp and additional setup possibilities. I'm pretty sure the fine folks on here will discover a few other uses as well...

Each UGQ Tarp Dongle features two 3/4" Beastie Dee Rings for trekking pole use and connection to guyline/tarp as well as a 9/16" center grommet for alum pole use with slip/locking pins.

1) Ground Deployment simplified for trekking poles or dedicated alum poles. (Ground Use unless you're using your hammock as a bivy (SEE BELOW))

2) Easy no knot porch mode setup using trekking poles or dedicated alum poles. (Hammock or Ground Use)

3) Over the tarp pole mod for panel pull provided tarps using trekking poles or dedicated alum poles. (Hammock or Ground Use)

4) Under the tarp full pole mod using dedicated tent poles. (Hammock or Ground Use)

Below are some pictures of a UGQ Hanger12 ground deployed using trekking poles and our UGQ Tarp Dongles. It was super easy to setup in under five minutes first time. Also so full and partial porch mode using UGQ Tarp Dongles and alum poles.

The image below represents a ground deployed hammock system. THIS IS NOT A STRUCTURAL HANG. When the hammock is occupied there is enough give in the hammock suspension to allow it to come into contact with the GROUND!!!! To be considered only in those rare times of no suitable hang location.

I know this is an old(er) post, but does anyone know if these are still a thing?

I watched a YouTube video today where someone used the UGQ Tarp Dongles to extend the center pole attachments on a WD Tarp so that he could use one of his end-poles as the center pole.

I'm not seeing them on the website, and haven't emailed UGQ yet... that's my next step. Just wondered if anyone had them, used them, knew anything?

They appear to be pretty easy to DIY if you're so motivated. Just some grosgrain, brass grommets, and a couple of beastie d rings.

Follow up on this. I contacted Paul, and was able to order a set of the Tarp Dongles through the custom work section of their website.

I have a pair of them coming with my tarp.
