    DIY Tarp Skins!

    FIRST POST!!!!!

So I decided to put some Tarp Skins together this weekend for my Warbonnet Edge tarp.
I used 2 yards of Nano NoSeeUm bug netting and a couple zip ties.
Im not very skilled with a sowing machine...but my mother is. (The debt has yet to be determined.)

Also I put together a rough guide of my process, the numbers can be changed for varying tarp sizes.

I hope someone finds this useful!

Love it. Looks really good. I plan on making a set of snake skins for my tarp once I get it done so this will help me out for sure. Thanks for posting!

Welcome. Nice looking skins. Looks like they fit perfectly.
I made mine in a similar way but tighter. I have since learned tighter is not better because it makes it harder to pack the snake because it becomes stiffer.

I hope you removed the sharp edges on the zip ties. They can have a nasty sharp edge, not good for your hands or the Tarp.
One thing, the next time you have to be behind the sewing machine. It’s part of the fun
If there is nothing left to learn it’s time to die.
    Live and learn.

That would have been embarrassing if I were an English major.

Awesome! When I started these I couldn't really find a whole lot of info (maybe I didn't dig deep enough). Glad I could help!
