I made some tree straps out of tubular nylon prior to learning and experiencing the issues with nylon for suspension. I have not used these yet, does anyone have experience using nylon as tree straps --- in theory, the linear stretch portion should be reduced to less than a foot running from the tree to the whoopies. Otherwise, I'll need to repurpose them.

I haven't specifically tried tubular nylon webbing tree straps but I can speak from experience with the ENO Slack Straps. Also, I use tubular nylon webbing when I slackline. In both cases I have found that there will be several inches of "stretch" just from the straps settling and tightening on the tree. It slips pretty badly rather than holding a fixed point. Just my two cents.

Hmmm. That does not sound like it will be worth the hassle. At least it was't expensive.
