OK, so now I'm lumped in with Cannibal? Yikes!

Anyone who has hiked with me knows that if I like something, I am probably going to have at least 3 or 4 of that thing on me at any given time. It's a problem that I'm working on. On the other hand, it tends to benefit those on hikes with me as I usually shed those "extras" to the nearest outstretched hand. An extra BB or two, not likely to be given away, but I guess you never know for sure, do you?

I am now the proud owner of BlackBird #4.

Each one of them has their own personality for me, because each one is made from different fabrics of differing widths. Brandon was kind enough to do a little "testing" of these different fabrics, so I have 3 completely unique blackbirds, quite unlike any other Blackbirds out there.

What is #4? A stock Blackbird. I had to see what all the hype was about. I hope I like it.
Very interested to learn more... What are the fabrics? Any thoughts you would like to share? Would love ideas for my #2.....

I like Cannibl's idea for a "Bluebird". A Blackbird done in Carolina Blue.

If you could find 40D ripstop polyester, it is DA BOMB! Flattest hammock I have ever layed in - no stretch at all. But good luck on finding it - I haven't been able to find any more since I scored it a year ago at an online fabric store, and it is a little heavier than my dbl 1.1/silk combo. The poly hammock is a nice dark grease color, oily blue/black/gray. The silk/1.1 breathes so nice, it is my summer hammock. The digital NyCo/Sportswear nylon double I have is nice, too - but I consider that my winter hammock. It was my first BB, and it lays a little wider and the inner fabric is so smooth - it is a dream to sleep in. The new one....., well, I'll fit it in, somewhere. I also have to fit in my no-nets, my clark na and my bmbh somewhere, too.

I voted "I'm not sure" but really I'm just not sure which I want first ...a Blackbird/Yeti or a Speer/Snugfit? I want both!

Makes me think of me of the silly indecision of Jack Nicholson in Prizzi's Honor: "Do I marry her, or kill her? Which one o' dese?"

I don't know about medicine, but they DO make neat little jackets for it. Couldn't find the wrist cuffs, though...they just had buckles where your hands were supposed to come out. Pretty cool how they keep your arms from flapping around in the hammock b/c the buckles attach behind you.

Maybe if I put some CCF in the sleeves...
