So you hang one hammock above the other? I've considered trying this with my fiance, but we usually just find a group of trees close enough together that we can hang roughly side by side.

Last weekend we found a REALLY perfect setup that let us share a tarp and still have enough room between us to sit in our hammocks and cook breakfast together

Not to hijack the thread (ok, maybe to hijack the thread ), but do you have any pictures of your two-blackbird hangs?

I'm pretty sure that counts as "own a Blackbird". At least for the purpose of the poll. You're just waiting to take delivery.

    Hey Mustardman,
    No, side by side.
I look for two large diameter trees and orient the straps on opposite sides.
We have the zippers facing inward. The shelf can be pulled out nice and wide but the zipper side pullouts cannot. Because the Birds are so spacious and we are rather short , we can sleep without banging into each other too badly.
I can sleep in either orientaion and don't need to use the foot box. This allow us both to put our heads left and feet right even though we have mirror image hammocks. I sometime wake up with my lower legs and feet over into her hammock if we leave the bug screens open.

It's kozy for sure with two trees but we also use three when we can find them. Then we use the same tree for the head end and different trees for the foot ends. this works better for some folks.
Ususal after the first 1/2 hour we stop moving and settle in for the night. I rarely ever feel her moving during the night, although we certainly can hear each other snore.

I have couple pictures on another computer and will try to post them soon...

    I got it bad!

OK, I don't own one blackbird. I don't own two blackbirds. I don't even own three blackbirds.

I am now the proud owner of BlackBird #4.

Each one of them has their own personality for me, because each one is made from different fabrics of differing widths. Brandon was kind enough to do a little "testing" of these different fabrics, so I have 3 completely unique blackbirds, quite unlike any other Blackbirds out there.

What is #4? A stock Blackbird. I had to see what all the hype was about. I hope I like it.
