===> Great trip report! I live in Mass, and get up into the Whites to hike, hang, or hunt and fish quite often. Your experience is more typical than not. Many, many people underestimate the weather here, especially above treeline, and Mount Washington has taken its fair share of unprepared folks. However, the experiences, the unmatched views, and the memories make every trip in those gorgeous mountains worth it!
