I have 2 of the SkyChairs hanging on my front porch. The whole family loves to hang out.
Dbhammocks wrote in his original post that his girlfriends SkyChair was rotted and ripped and unusable. I had a booth at a fair beside the SkyChair dealer and if I recall correctly they have a 100% no questions asked return policy. Might be worth checking into and getting them replaced.
I do not wish to be disturbed - but I can't help it!
so this thread doesn't cover the diy hammock chair i wanted it to /: like AHE bushman's chair. must be just a short hammock?

I made a bushman chair clone last summer here, and yes, it is basically a short hammock. I recommend making the end channels large enough to run a sizable trail stick through for structure to spread the bottom out and create a triangle shaped chair. It also doubles as a nice gear hammock..
One of the easiest solutions I've seen is to double a standard hammock through a descending ring at the bottom.
Then you just hang the two gathered ends high and the DR end low**... straddle the low line. sit back, and relax. You can even toss your feet up on the low line like a hassock.
** you have to larkshead on an extra piece of suspension, or take one off one of the gathered ends
