Posted this in the other thread, but I'll post it here too... My attempt at making an iMovie from the pics I took. I would have set it to music, but I didn't have anything on my phone that seemed appropriate

I had a great time meeting people and checking out people's setups, and I was really glad that it got as cold as it did so I could really test out my setup.

I'm not sure who made the alcohol stoves or the 6' whoopies that were in the raffle - but thank you for donating them, I'll put them to good use

Looking forward to doing this again next year!

I was so bummed to miss this event. I went the good dad route. My daughter is a jr. in high school and it was homecoming weekend. And the first year with a date.

Would have been nice to go to the hang for as much time the homecoming took. But I had to be here it was the right thing. What's the next event...so I can make plans to attend?

I will bring my camping buddy, my new pup Chloe...I hope she will be ready by then. She is 7 mo old now.

Looks like it was a blast.

Had a great time. Thanks to all the vendors who supported the event, and everyone who put items into the raffle, especially the organizers, UGQ! (Not saying that just because I won the top quilt!)

Also, wanted to thank Boulderv7 and the Old Boot for renewing my wife's interest in hammocking with a bridge hammock. She wants me to build her one now!

Thanks to everyone who made the weekend possible, Paul and Missy for organizing it, Gallo and Skiwag for manning the stoves, TZ for keeping the coffee flowing, and everyone who contributed to the food and the cleanup. And of course the generous vendors that contributed so much and made the raffle such a success. I'll see everyone next year, if not sooner.

So once again this event was a huge success!! Last year we had decided to have everyone pay a fee for the weekend and we handed out 5 raffle tickets...needless to say we didn't make much money on the raffle...

So this year we decided we would let everyone come and enjoy for free in hopes that everyone would buy raffle tickets so in turn that would fund the whole weekend. Needless to say we raised $1500.00...that's taking out the money for the 2 face cords of wood we needed. We were very pleased at all the participation and even more so, the generosity of all the vendors that donated. In saying that...I want to again thank Pam and Ryan for all the hard work that went into taking care of the raffle...and what a great job they did running it as well.

I also want to say a BIG thank you too Yukondave for all the outstanding coffee you provide for this event...YEAH CANADA!! Too TZbrown for always being there to make the coffee and keeping all of us soooo happy, especially on those pretty chilly mornings.

Neil, what can I say but....heeeeeeyyyy...lol...what an absolute hoot you are...and a complete blessing to this group...you are always in the kitchen cooking and making sure everyone has plenty to eat. Thank you darling!!

Finally, let me just give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out this year and brought stuff anywhere from plates and napkins to food...all of you made this year so very relaxing for me and Paul

Once again, as most everyone as said...thank you thank you thank you to ALL the vendors who generously donated to this event...we would not have had such a big successful weekend without you!!

Looking forward to next year already...hopefully we'll see some of you this winter at the hang in Ludington.
