+1 - I use ridgeline quilt hooks and have found they make a noticeable difference. In a netless hammock I'm able to connect and disconnect them without getting out and the difference is immediate....
Thanks for the reply, Warren. Knowing the product history and that some of the suggested "improvements" were things that were tried and moved away from is interesting.
Having the top drawcord in...
I also use a lightweight nylon stuff sack for stakes. I use mesh sleeves with my tarp, this is then rolled/folded up and I use a nylon strap to keep it bundled - the stake bag gets tucked under the...
Received my TQ this weekend and posted some impressions over here: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/149590-Cedar-Ridge-Outdoors-Stealth-50%BA-top-quilt-first-impressions
I recently purchased a CRO Stealth 50º top quilt and have written up some impressions:...
While looking for a lightweight warm weather top quilt to complement my Loco Libre Operator 50º Haberno UQ I came across the Cedar Ridge Stealth 50º quilt. These are stock quilts with the only...
Glad to have a search function!
Hammock was shipped quickly and as described. Thanks!
I'll take the hammock!
Did you end up ordering during the sale? I just placed an order for a Stealth 50º top quilt (from stock rather than custom) and will post impressions once it arrives.
This is a good point. My coldest weather hammock setup bottoms around 20º. I don't have a colder weather camping setup yet but am leaning towards a tent + pad(s, stacked) + mummy bag for 0º. I'd...

That's true - weight is not the reason to go to a hammock setup. For me the most compelling reason, provided you are in a forested area, is the increase in site selection. I sleep a bit better in a...
Trash compactor bag - it's a small plastic trash bag, lightweight and waterproof.
I do the same when backpacking. For bikepacking the TQ and UQ go into a 13L dry bag on a handlebar harness. That's for 20º quilts, I'd guess true winter down quilts could fit in the same 13L bag but...
Since receiving my Operator Habernero 50º UQ a few weeks ago I've had it out three times now. Overnight lows were in the low 70s, mid 60s, and mid 50s. As expected the UQ has been comfortable in...
I actually switched from a sleeping bag to quilt before I started hammocking because I was looking for a lighter, more compressible, more comfortable sleeping bag for backpacking. I ended up with an...
Tarp stakes? (I'm assuming you have some from a tent or something and just weren't listed.)
The sleeping pad strikes me as a redundant/contingency, single use item. If you are planning on staying...
Just received my Jarbrige and hope to do some cold weather testing with it this winter. For those posting their experiences I think the top quilt and sleep wear used would be useful to know as well....
Piggy backing on this thread as my Operator 50º Habanero UQ shipped today! Ordered on 7/31 - wasn't sure if I could expect it before the cooler nights were upon us, and certainly didn't imagine a 2...
