Bump and price drop, $60 and free shipping, what a bargain!!!
I have Warbonnet multi cam sock that I'm selling, it's never even been strung up before, it's for the Blackbird and I don't think they make one that fits the XLC, but you could always get extensions...
Have you tried an UQP to help help stop the wind of robbing your heat from your UQ? I live in Texas also but got a 0 Wooki, because if I heat up I can always adjust my top layers, I may sleep cold...
I have My Superfly that I can hang low to the ground like a pup tent, I always bring a footprint and that can act as my tent floor, from there I would use my XCL as a bivy, ridgeline strung up...
Just got my XL Wooki 0 the other day. Haven't had a chance to use it yet but am very excited to try. Thanks for the words.
Great review. Been considering one of these for when I camp with the missus.
I bought one when they were first introduced, before Dec of last year. But I sent it back. To be honest it seemed okay but when comparing to UQs it just didn't make sense. For the weight, the temp...
I use snakeskins and was always told to keep them on the outside of my pack. Like coil and clip style. That they stay fairly protected as long as you keep them on a part of the pack less prone to...
I have heard that they are noisy, is this a truth?
Looks awesome, definitely won't be able to cart it around on my back, but for a car camping trip couldn't be better.
Not much, an abbreviation of my name and where I happen to be right now. I have never been into Trail names..
My mate started talking about backpacking with his ENO. I lurked for a long time and decided on a WBBB XLC, a Superfly tarp, a Wooki UQ, and a HG TQ. I haven't looked back since. The ease of setting...
All good choices, I have an XLC, a Wooki for bottom insulation, a HG TQ, and a Superfly tarp.
Thank you, I'm trying to close the thread now.
Hello from Austin. Hammock Gear Incubator is great, or go back to Warbonnet and get a Wooki UQ.
Hiya from Texas, so much gear and so many choices.
Howdy from Austin
Get some good wool socks, and sock liners, for the blisters. A camel pack or something closely related (I use an MSR dromedary). One good thing would be to fill your pack up and start doing walks...

Sightmark Ghost Hunter 2x24. I like being able to look around my campsite without alerting the world that I'm doing so. Screaming at critters or naughty folks with light gives them the...
Awesome! Good times.
I'm in Austin, so that looks like a good spot for some practice, thanks.
Thanks; Bumpity bump!
Yeah thanks, I read that. Was looking for any more recent info, or just an expansion onto that info. Thanks.
Headed to Mt Rainier in mid June for an 8 day walk about and hang session. Any of you all hammock camped out there? Experiences?
Have a look at Warbonnet Outdoors, they make a sweet bridge called the Ridgerunner and a great UQ especially for bridge hammocks called the Lynx.
G'day from Austin, if you're keen for a night in Bastrop State Park, Pace Bend, or somewhere else local then pm me, my rig is in the shop but should be back in a week. Looking to get some hang time,...
146856. The quilt wall.
I have a HG 0, a HG 40, and a Jacksrbetter fleece TQ liner (shaped just like a foot boxed quilt). The liner works as a hot summer quilt or to supplement the 40 if need be.
Just use an UQ protector minus the quilt. It will stop the wind and pack up to nothing. 2qzq makes and sells them.
I wonder if that's out of respect for Brandon or worry about not getting it right. Either way she's good people so I won't try and ask her to go against the grain.
I guess I will try a zip vent out for awhile and see how that fares before I try and teach myself any new tricks, thanks for the advice.
That's a sweet bit of land you got there, great view. I've got a Wooki 0 coming with my XLC, got my Superfly tarp and HG Burrow is my go to for top insulation, got a 0 and a 40. The pole mod kit is...
I just got my 40 wide Burrow in the mail today, I got it in the lighter fabric 67, where as my 0 Burrow is in the heavier fabric (90). Anyway this quilt is a beaut, and the 67 fabric is very soft. HG...
I've just swapped up from the WBBB to the WBBB XLC, and got the winter cover for good measure. I've read a lot about condensation issues with it and am wondering if there is anyone on here who has...
Looking to get a portable hammock stand, preferably something under 4lbs that can be put in a backpack. Like the DD hammock stand. I know it's a long shot but why not ask.
Welcome fellow hanger from Austin TX.
Welcome from Austin!
Willkommen, my hammock quickly became mein schatz.
Welcome from Austin, getting off the ground is just civilised.
