Have a look at Bespoke-ultralight on EBay, I have only heard good things about him. He will make to order if you wish. I bought a half bugnet from him that I was happy with.

Yes I am about 5' 3" and have worked my way up to a 10 foot netted and a 10' 6" without net. The learning curve works at different speeds for different folks. But good advice taken accelerates the...
20/20 for me last night.
Winter Scout camp last weekend temps down to -3c. Part of my two nights a month second year. Over all I'm 17/17.
Just done my second night for this month as it is my second consecutive year so am trying for two nights a month. This counts for 16/16. It was Christmas night it was warm(ish) wet and windy. Next...
Subbed and Liked, get that boy on the trail.
15/15 with another backyard hang, two nights so that's the third month of the second year at two nights apiece. The new challenge is on.:thumbup1:
To be fair my buddy was told there were trees, there was but about 30 feet apart.
I went 14/14 with a backyard hang this weekend, hoped to have made it last weekend on a canoe trip but my buddy booked a campsite without sufficient trees so I had to go to ground.:cursing:
I like the idea of the year you completed the mission but it's up for debate!
Sounds like we have a plan coming together, come on our artistic members how about some designs.
What happened to the idea of a patch for completing 12 nights, I would be more than willing to pay for one (or two) to proudly display on my hammy. "Off the ground all year round. Mission Completed."...
Drove through France a couple of weeks ago and was surprised at the number of roof boxes that had ratchet straps add to the set up, this may explain it.
Completed my 12 with a hand in the Ardeche Gorge in the south of France while doing a canoe decent of the Ardeche river with my district Scouts from England.
Got my 12 for 12 last night in the Ardeche Gorge south of France on a canoe decent with my district Scout troop. I would be interested if there was a patch for this. Now for the next 12.
With the 12 inches higher thing, this is at the tree and not over the length of the hammock itself?
Completed my 11th hang (July) with a busy weekend helping at a local Scout camp and teaching kayak and canoe. One left to do, hopefully August will be in the south of France, with more Scouts.
I have mine in a double ended stuff sack and mark the head end with an orange ribbon tied on that drawstring, helps me sort which side I am getting in from as not all hang spots are perfect.
Does which way you lay make a difference to which side you get in the hammock?
Did my June hang last night, it had to be a backyard hang as I am staying local this month as I am teaching our scouts kayaking and canoeing. It gave me a chance to use some of my old original...
Two nights this weekend helping out at our district scout archery and air rifle competition camp. Also put up a spare so my partner could join me on Saturday night. 9/9
I don!t think it would be big enough. Dimensions 7'3" X 4' X 3'6".
I have used a net like this before as a half bug net. I suspended it under the ridge line by 2 prussics. Just tied 2 overhand knots in the net and looped the prussics on to them. l had one knot up...
Another night in the hammock while helping at local Cub Scout weekend. 8/8 April ticked off.

I have used an inpromptu "nut" to hang in the back of my van using an old socket from a socket wrench set wedged into a slot between the roof and the bulkhead.
7/7 with a hang at our district Scout night hike.
The month of March has been ticked of the list with an overnight hang at our district Scout night hike. Now 7/7.
Yes I just ordered some skins tonight, good communication on Email. I found a direct Email address as I didn't get a reply from the outdoor gear website. [email protected] Try this one.
February completed out with the Explorer Scouts. 6/6.
Got my February hang in this weekend, a night hike with the Explorer Scouts. Now 6/6.
5 for 5 here too.
122929January hang done, proper hang this time. Took my canoe out and camped by the river. 5 for 5.122928
I have tried this way just trying things on a newly purchased tarp but with an across the top pole mod you seem to loose a lot of the width gained inside.
December hang done, had to be a yard hang to set up the brand new Superfly. Hopefully January will be a "proper" hang.121980
I got my November hang in last night, it had to be a backyard hang. That is month 3 done. Recorded temps of 24*/-4C but was toasty warm and slept right through.
It seems that not a lot of people are still using the Speed Hooks, they have gone on to something that they feel they can trust and are waiting for Speed Hook 2. They should be ready in about 2...
I have seen a bit of fuzzing so carry a couple of spare leads an case I feel the need. I mainly do short 1 or 2 nighters with the scouts but have been out longer with no trouble. I understand Dutch's...
Me too have been using mine for quite a while now. I just keep a check on the Amsteel for signs of weakness. I weigh about 162 pounds, so not too heavy.
Who is still using them and has anyone been "let down" by them?
Maybe a slight tweak to that, " off the ground all year round "
I have had a woodsman X double for over a year and find it very comfortable but I am a little on the short side (5' 4"). I also have their winter underquilt and they fit together well and is toasty...
This looks like a oldish UK house and would most likely be brick inside not studs.
I really ought to do that as I live within five miles of USAF Mildenhall and USAF Lakenheath.
Yes I fell victim to this one, bought Whoopie hooks, Dutch buckles and Amsteel, total £28 with postage. Added tax and handling made it up to £40 and a trip to the Post Office. Now for small bits I...
I'm with Hutzelbein on this one I like the add ability to be able to completely cocoon yourself and trap in all the warm air if things get tough. It also brings in to play the hood of a mummy bag...
